Pitch

Pitch a brief

For verified contributors. Tell us the paper, why it matters, and roughly how you'd translate it — before you write a word of the draft. Not verified yet? Start here.

Confidential by default

Everything you submit here stays between you and START's editorial team until you approve publication. Your draft will be shared with one assigned vetter in your field, who reviews it under the same confidentiality commitment — the same norm as journal peer review. Nothing you send appears on the site, ever; only the final brief you sign off on does.

Use the address we verified you with.
Peer-reviewed and formally published — a DOI link is ideal. Preprints don't qualify on their own.
200 words is plenty: the finding, the method in a line, what readers commonly get wrong about this topic.
Anything we should know that doesn't belong in print: embargo dates, conflicts of interest, context about the work or its authors. This field stays inside the editorial team.

We reply to every pitch, usually within a week. If we pass, we'll say why.
